BPC-157
Also known as Body Protection Compound 157
BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide, a chain of 15 amino acids. Its sequence is a partial fragment of a larger protein first described in human gastric juice, which is where the name "Body Protection Compound" comes from.

Research background
Most published work on BPC-157 comes from laboratory and animal studies, much of it from one research group in Zagreb, Croatia.
Studies have used tissue models including tendon, ligament, muscle and the gastrointestinal tract, and have looked at interactions with growth-factor and nitric-oxide signalling pathways.
Human data is very limited. BPC-157 is not an approved medicine in the UK or elsewhere, and it appears on the World Anti-Doping Agency's prohibited list as a non-approved substance.
Storage and handling
Supplied as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed 4 ml vial. Keep it sealed until use. Storage: −20 °C, protect from light. Once reconstituted, solutions are usually kept refrigerated at 2–8 °C and used promptly. Follow your laboratory's own protocols and safety data.
Is BPC-157 approved for human use?
No. BPC-157 is sold by vialinepeptides strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not a medicine, food or cosmetic and is not for human or veterinary use. Nothing on this page is medical advice.
